About

Haechan Ryu
Industrial Designer Based in Seoul, KR

I design products that connect engineering precision with emotional clarity. My professional work focuses on transforming ideas into manufacturable products through close collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Alongside commercial projects, I maintain an independent design practice where I explore speculative objects, wearable products and experimental forms beyond commercial constraints.

I believe the strongest ideas emerge when curiosity and reality continuously inform one another.

Beyond Professional

Outside of commercial projects, I continue building design works every year—from 3D printed lamps to speculative wearable products.

These projects allow me to experiment with materials, manufacturing and ideas without predefined commercial expectations.

Maintaining this independent practice helps me stay curious, expand my formal language and continuously refine my perspective as a designer.

Looking Forward

I am interested in creating products that exist at the intersection of technology, manufacturing and culture.

Whether working within large organizations or through independent collaborations, I hope to continue building products that remain meaningful beyond their function.
