Project Brief
A 32-inch mobile smart display designed to move naturally between different viewing and working positions.
I was mainly responsible for the stand architecture, surfacing, and integration of the motion mechanism from early development through production.
The Challenge
The challenge was to enable a wide range of movement without letting the mechanism dominate the product visually.
Development
Early hinge proposals required significantly more volume to support the display.
Through repeated prototyping with mechanical engineers, the hinge proportions and transitions were refined while maintaining the required motion range.
The final architecture visually integrates the arm, hinge and display connection as one continuous structure.
Outcome
Launched globally in 2025.
